World Science Day For Peace & Development

On, general entitlement, we can say that our entire system of thinking and understanding has completely switched.
Since the year 2002, every year on 10th of November the whole globe celebrates World Science Day for Peace and Development. It is globally acknowledged for creating a realization to common people about the emergence of scientific issues and the developments it has achieved.

Even so, science has searched and reached a peak in the field of scientific developments. Irrespective of all the discoveries and importance we highly acknowledge and appreciate the efforts of the people working so diligently for it. In this article, we are appreciating the most crucial and paramount discoveries.

We are celebrating the significant ‘World Science Day for Peace & Development’ with the five most important scientific achievements of the 21st century!

EVIDENCE OF WATER ON MARS

The National Aeronautics and Space Administration has presented strong evidence that on present days liquid water flows intermittently on Mars. There are some dark streaks that are found and it appears as flowing down of some kind of liquid through the steep slopes in warm seasons. Whereas, it fades away in a cooler interval of the seasons.

The imaging spectrometer of NASA’s Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter (MRO) shows the presence of hydrated salts in different locations on Mars. This shows parallel that hydrated salt which is present, plays a vital role in the formation of water.

ADVANCEMENT OF SCIENCE IN HIV CARE

According to the Government of HIV Health care there are almost 36.7 million people who are affected by this disease. It is one of the life-threatening with deadly consequences disease in the world. Germany already has the treatment the disease for the last two decades.

Though there is no definite cure for it the antiretroviral therapy allows the patient to live a longer life. There was one successful case where a patient named Timothy Ray Brown was cured with the transplantation of bone marrow from the HIV immune person.

SEQUENCING GENOME OF CANCER PATIENT

The editing of Genome is an absolutely exciting and game-changer for the scientific world. Also cancer is a mutation of the human genome. Genome sequencing is now internally integrate into the care and medical facility world.

The Human Genome Project has already treated a skin disease that was deadly. It identifies and characterizes the sequences of RNA & DNA of the cells that cause cancer. This project has helps scientists to understand the involvement of genes in other cancer diseases like Eczema, Leukaemia, and Diabetes.

CONTRIBUTION Of SCIENCE TOWARDS CREATING OF HUMAN ORGANS

Human Organs are of great value. But for scientific discoveries, it is not a big deal now. Stem cell research has made it of great access to organs. Through the stem cells, scientists can grow another organ. Previously, waiting for a donor and to undergo harsh medication was a traumatizing situation.
Therefore, the scientists and doctors from Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital have studied generating the functioning of human heart tissues from the skin cells of the adults. There are various researches going globally for stem for growing of Fallopian tubes, brain, lungs, kidney, and lungs.

WATER AS A FUEL

Nobody ever thought of water can used in vehicles as a fuel? Power can generated from liquid with the involvement of technology. A German clean-tech company has an amazing development with a futuristic machine that produces fuel from water. By the process of conversion of carbon dioxide and oxygen into hydrocarbons, fuel is generate from water.

In the year 2007, the Joint Centre of Artificial Photosynthesis (JCAP) and Berkley Lab’s Material has developed a project. That project was to turn sunlight, water, and carbon dioxide into fuel. Therefore, it can said that these transformations of fuels will be next-generation fuel that will replace fossils, oil, coals, and other such natural fuels.

Every year there is a theme for the celebration of WORLD SCIENCE DAY FOR DEVELOPMENT & PEACE. Though this year’s theme is ‘science for and with society’ but our main objective is always the same. The objective of spreading awareness to the public about the strength of science which results in peace and sustainability of society. We are always a performer in face challenging situations in every field, science is also a no game of playing alone.
As the world is moving forward the technology with the digital platform is always playing a vital key role in bringing the new discoveries and inventions in the scientific genre to public notices. Hence, science has entirely shifted our philosophical mind and soul to cosmic looking of micro to macro perspective!
