World Energy Conservation Day

ENERGY CONSERVATION DAY
Happy Energy Conservation Day! People celebrate it since 14th of December 1991 in every year.

Let’s bring clarity to the term ‘Energy Conservation’. It is a decisional effort to reduce the usage of energy with practice and handling them more efficiently. ‘Eco-sufficiency’ and ‘energy Conservation’ are the two faces of the same coin. The name of the coin is ‘Conservation of sustainable Energy’!

Is, the world under the Global Energy Crisis?

Well, in order to underlie the answer let me quote. Aldo Leopold, an American Environmentalist stated this statement — “Conservation is a state of harmony between men and land”.

However, the statement should be put into action. The world requires this harmony and that too like right now! Out of so many concerns to look at, the energy crisis is on the priority list. The set-back of global energies is a complex topic with a broad vision. The world’s concern is on the limitation of natural resources and fossil fuels. Despite this, after so many efforts, the situation is growing worse.

We should conserve the natural resources in order to replenish the store of nature. As the usage and demand are rising for the power in industrial society, the natural sources are diminishing. While, in order to occur natural resources take a hundred and thousands of years to form back.

Reasons for the Energy Crisis?

It is and always very easy at pointing the faults and reasons. But, accepting the fact and trying to solve it is one ‘woe of the job’. The interpretation of course is real and foremost.

  • Overconsumption — As a result of several crises, over consumption is on the top of the list. The strain is on natural resources, fossil fuels as oil, gas, and coal. It turns into the other path of hassle on oxygen, water resources by causing pollution to it.
  • Overpopulation — the world’s population is directly proportional to demands for products and fuels. No matter, what item of food or product you chose it significantly drains into energy resources! So every product has a connection and vice versa.
  • Poor Infrastructure — the root cause of energy shortage is the aging of infrastructures. The power generating equipment with an outdated system put restrictions on the working process. Though, it is the responsibility of the utilities for upgrading the systems for high standards performances.
  •  Unexplored Renewable Energy — there are a lot of countries that still have renewable energy. Coal is one of the non-renewable resources, therefore, making it the top choice for producing energy. Since we are draining the resources totally, the solution is to look for substitute energies for fossil fuels.
  • Energy Wastage — realizing the importance of conserving energy is still not settled into the brains of humans. These concerns are only limited to books, newspapers, ads, seminars, and over the internet. The overusing of the energy results in frequent breakdowns and tripping.

Effect on Global Stability

The traditional source of energy is a precious fossil. The growth of human civilization has led to an outburst increase in consumption. This resulted in some important effects of the catastrophe.

With the increase in usage, the price of the resources has increased too. But, the constant reminder is the limited availability in quantity.

The environment is getting highly influenced by the burning of non-renewable fuels. This results in greenhouse gas like carbon dioxide and others.

Due to the energy chaos, there is some disturbance in socioeconomic platforms. The quest for fossil resources is creating political issues and disturbances between the countries.

Due to the hiking rise in fuel prices, there is a lot of chaos in the tourism sector.

Final Words for ‘What Can Be Done Today’?

“The entity present today, may not be there one-day!” — Anonymous

The process of the slogan ‘what can be done today has to be very strategically planned and deployed. In order, to scale up the path for future generations we can do the following things.

  • We should pull ourselves towards renewable energies like the steam, solar, wind.
  •  Replacing traditional resources with energy-efficient products.
  • Using solar panels and grid accesses.
  • The big industries and corporation can design their space with energy simulation software.
  • We should perform the process of energy audits.
  • Stand together and find the solution for climatic change and global warming.
  • Educate everyone about the conservation of the resources and their importance.
