NO – The word itself is a ‘full stop’!

Orange, is the new color for the world. The color ‘orange’ symbolizes a color for ‘brighter future’ and ‘violence-free days’. It stands for solidarity to eliminate violence in all forms. Women are not an artifact for objectification. They are as much human as the men in this world.

International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women has been designated by UN General Assembly on 25th November. The agenda of this day is to raise awareness about the women’s problem that they have to face.

What are the problems women have to go through?

Though there is a lot of harassment and problems the women living on this planet have to go through. The article will seem small yet we have tried to raise the crucial topics.

RAPE – Women in large extent are a victim of rape. Irrespective of any age they are forcefully perpetrated by the men they know or they don’t know. There is no age limit for being a victim of rape. They are newborn babies to older women.

There are innumerable women who are the victim of marital or spousal rape. Not only that, followed by rape, the victim faces threats and violence from the rapist.

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE – There is quite a number of scores, women who are the victims of domestic abuse. The women who are victimized by someone commonly fall prey to their intimate partner.

Violence does not only include heterosexual relationships. It tends to occur in a daughter-mother, roommate, and lesbian relationships even. But there are most cases of abusive companionship in the heterosexual relationship. While there are many cases where they even get killed by their partner’s.

ACID ATTACK – An acid attack is also known as acid throwing or vitrioling or corrosive substance onto another person’s body. The most common types of acids are nitric, hydrochloric, and sulfuric acid.

Acid attacks are the result of domestic disputes, refusing of proposal or marriage, dowry, and many other different forms. The perpetrators throw acid on the victim’s face and body in order to damage and burn their skin.

DATING ABUSE – This type of violence is even termed as CDC. Dating abuse includes violence in physical, sexual, emotional, and physiological traumas.

The victim is intimidated or assaulted by their context dating or courtship partners. The partners try to control and use abusive power like hitting, beating, and forceful sex on their partners.

STALKING – Stalking is often an inappropriate act of conducting direct or keeping an eye on a specific person. The creepy stalker gives obsessive and unwanted attention to an individual or a group resulting in fear in the victim.

This takes a way in the process of intimidating, harassing, following, or monitoring the daily activity of the victim. Severe stalking by partners results in dangerous escalating of violence and murder even.

HUMAN TRAFFICKING – This refers to the deception or fraud of someone with the aim of exploiting them. It also includes improper force and acquisition for capturing them causing physical and mental pain.

The women are recruited with false hopes and results in harboring them to different parts of the world. They are forced to become sex slaves and work in the sex industry, prostitution irrespective of their age.

FORCED ABORTION – Forced abortion is gender-based violence. It is an illegal act of forced sterilization and abortion done by either the intimate partners or their family members.

The woman is tortured to abort the fetus by medications. This inhuman act happens in the entire world.

CONCLUSION – The undergoing of violence is not gender-based. There are lots of men who undergo the same violence. But as women are more and particularly vulnerable, they tend to undergo an extreme levels of violence. Violence against girls and women is the most persistent and devastating violation of Human Rights.

While the governments are trying to pass appropriate laws for women to end violence. Yet you do your bit. Teach your son that women are not an item to play with and they should never inflict pain on them. The treatment of equality can come only by growing the minds of your kids.
