WORLD OZONE DAY – The Ceiling Of Earth

Ozone Layer

Oh, Good Gracious! The kicking of the article with an equation looks so monotonous. But the surprising fact is all the monotonous deeds are not always dull. Sometimes, they can be extremely compelling and knowledgeable. Let us just say, that the above equation is for showing how the ozone layer is formed. The Ozone layer is a shield that is present around the Earth’s Stratosphere that absorbs the majority of the ultraviolet radiation released by the sun.

In the year 2000, United Nations General Assembly designated September 16, as the World Ozone Day. Here on this day by following the norms of the Covid-19 pandemic challenge, let us all celebrate it globally with our friends and acquaintance.

Are We Ignorant About Ozone Layer?

Wise words said by Lewis black-“It’s absolutely stupid that we live without an ozone layer. We have men, we’ve got rockets, we’ve got saran wrap – Fix it!

A quick-witted individual will quickly get the answer to the following question.

The fact is, that the thickness of the ozone layer varies around the globe. They are generally thinner near the equator and thicker near the poles. It even varies seasonally.

As per the sources by 2009, high emission of Nitrous oxide and Chlorofluorocarbon is the largest cause of the ozone-depletion send forth by the humans.

While the count of the population is increasing, the tempo of global warming is generally enlarging. Global warming, climatic change, and ozone layer depletion are all inter-linked for the downfall of the Earth’s condition.

They are the root cause of the holes in the ozone layer. Scientists have discovered that there are many large holes in the layer. It can be said the holes are so vast, it can cover three times the area of Greenland. Due to the holes in the layer, the ultraviolet radiation is getting un-absorbed and reaching the earth’s surface. These UV rays are highly vicious resulting in skin diseases like sunburns, immune system suppression, skin cancer, and some genetic damages.

What Are We Learning?

To Live& Let the Nature Live. With the pandemic stuck poorly to the human race, humans should grip themselves to save nature. It is high time that one should take the safety of nature most solemnly. Every individual should be clear that if humankind wants to live let nature live freely.

Instead of trying to go to Mars and start a new life there. Let us take a pledge to GO GREEN. Let us REDUCE, REUSE and RECYCLE.
